Good question.  I can't delete mine.  This is crazy and I now HATE facebook

Facebook's unwillingness to advertise a simple account deletion process has annoyed many people. 

They do have an official route, however, which should result in your account being completely removed after a few days.

You must've clicked back onto your facebook after deactivating.try to deactivate it then wait 3 days.

It is NOT easy, or even POSSIBLE for me, to unsubscribe!  I have tried over and over to deactivate it because when I sign in I get a blank wall -- nothing else!  The "help" is no help at all, the "submit" buttons do nothing!  Why do they not have a simple page for tech help?  I can't even expand the help discussions!!!  What kind of a fraud is this?

Hmm...Did you go to the help page?  It is very easy to unsubscribe to Facebook.  I don't understand why you're having the problem.  If you can't figure this out on one of the help forums, then click on "contact us" and notify Facebook of your problem.  :)  Have a nice day!

You can't, when you signed up you agreed to share your info with them and they make no bones about the fact they will keep info you gave them and carry on collecting it even if you delete your account. My sons made a facebook on my pc and now many of my websights want me to link them to facebook.
