To begin with you need to access the Facebook website. Having turned on your computer or laptop, go onto the internet and type the Facebook web address, www.facebook.com into your toolbar. Alternatively, you can type 'Facebook', or something derived from that name, into any internet search engine and the Facebook website will be top of the results list.
If its your first time on Facebook, the website will welcome you and ask you to provide certain pieces of information in order to make a user ID. At this first stage you will need to give your first and second names, your email address, and your date of birth (it is required that you are over the age of thirteen to legally make a Facebook account). It will also ask you to create a password which can be used to verify you as the creator of the account, this is for your own online security.
You will have to type some of the answers twice to ensure that you have given the correct information and not made a typing mistake. Once you have typed answers into the appropriate answer boxes you will be in possession of your own individual Facebook account. After your account has been made you will be able to access it by simply going on to the Facebook website and typing in your user name and password into the bar asking for them at the top of the page.
There is also the option of having Facebook remember your personal information (that is, your user name and password) This means that every time you go onto the Facebook website it will immediately log you onto your account without having to first type in that information.
