First of all, I am going to say this: KIDS SHOULD HAVE FACEBOOK.
I am a child, and I have Facebook. My family lives far away, and Facebook helps me connect with a lot of people that I haven't seen in years. It also helps me to socialize with my friends, which I think is really cool.
I really think that the age limit is very strict. In my opinion, the age limit should be 10, because at that age, kids are usally mature enough to handle a Facebook.
There is also on lot of danger on Facebook, so kids who sign onto Facebook should have a talk with their parents so they KNOW that they should be careful when on Facebook. Parents have the right to check their child's Facebook, so that they can make sure nothing is wrong.
You can delete a Facebook account at any time. You can also adjust your settings to very , very, VERY safe settings, so that not everyone can add you or message you.
If you are careful with your Facebook account, it will be great fun and will help you connect and be social with your friends and family.
I believe kids aged 11 or up are mature enough to have a Facebook. As long as parents can check to see what they are doing it is perfectly fine.
Most middle-schoolers have Facebooks now and it might socially harm your child by not having one. Think about back when you were a child, wanting what other children want - following a trend is natural for every person.
Eventually, this trend will die, and your child won't even need it anymore, so I would make my child a deal, stick with Facebook, (as long as you can monitor it,) then keep it when the next computer trend comes out.
I believe that you should stick to this method. I am in fact, a doctor and I get a lot of parents coming to me about these kinds of things. Take my advice, let your child have a Facebook.

I think kids should have Facebooks because it is a way to have fun, socialize, and talk to far distant family members - and some may go on to ask what the homework for a certain class was that day.
Kids should have a Facebook because almost every kid does.
When they are at school, they may feel left out because every one else has one and they don't. Like me - I don't have a Facebook and pretty much every kid in my class has one.

I think that kids should have Facebook because they can connect with their friends and talk to them - but their parents should keep an eye on who they are talking to and make sure their kids know who they are talking to.
Kids love surfing the net and hopefully soon there will be a secure search engine especially for kids.
I know kids like to look cool to impress their friends but overall I think Facebook should be allowed. Kids would still fake their age to get onto Facebook even if there was such a thing as kids' Facebook because kids' Facebook sounds babyish - so I think they will still sneak their accounts behind our backs and when we ask them what they are doing, they will still say I'm on club penguin or msn talking to my friends from school.

So they can connect with their family members and their friends.
It teaches them a lot of skills for life like socializing, picking and choosing their friends, and even how to deal with problems , but some kids should not - like the ones who aren't over 11.
It is a fact that your brain reaches its highest when you are around twelve.

I think that kids should have Facebook because it is something to do and chat with friends. There are is games that are fun and there are things to do that are interactive - like you can make your own quizzes and then take them, and you can write on other people's walls about things to do.
You can post things and you can send private messages. I think that everyone should get Facebook and I think that Facebook is the funnest thing in the world to do when you are bored.
Facebook is also for kids - you can have it at 10 and up, or at least, that is at least what we do now. I also think that it would be fair if my parents were off my back and stopped worrying about what I do on Facebook. I do nothing bad so my mom just makes sure and checks every week on what I am doing on Facebook.

I think kids should be able to have Facebook if, and only if, they are responsible.
Some teens use Facebook as a utensil to bully other classmates they don't like. If your teen is using Facebook like this, then they are obviously not mature enough.
However, when Facebook is used appropriately, it is a fun way to connect with family and friends, and share pictures and videos.

Kids should have a Facebook because there's really no harm in it unless you put yourself in harm's way. Also it has fun stuff to do like talking to friends you haven't seen in a while, sharing photos and doing quizzes.
I personally think that there should be no problem having kids on Facebook, although I would like the creator of Facebook to create something called "Facebook for Kids".
A lot of kids love the internet and Facebook is really fun and addictive. However, if kids are on the regular Facebook, there can be bad people who could say something like, "I know you, but you do not know me. I go to your school and I know that we would be great friends. Would you like to meet me at the park? I would love to meet you!" Then they could do something to the kid.
I think kids should not have a Facebook because of that reason. If a lot of kids want to be on Facebook, then the creator should invent, like I said, Facebook for Kids.

I think that parents should let kids have Facebook no matter what.
I think that kids should have Facebook because it is something to do so you are not bored all the time, and they can also chat with their friends and talk about stuff so it can be a secret and you can make your own account...
I think there should be an age limit like 9 and older can have Facebook and if they are young their moms and dads can go on their profile and check what they have been doing and they have to ask their parents who they add as a friend if they someone asks them. Or they can ask them if they have been doing anything naughty and then the kid says yes why they should get grounded for a little bit and their mothers should go on them and do all their daily things.

Yes - because you can't put porn on it like you can on myspace.
Kids should be the only ones to have a Facebook and they should lower the age limit to like 10 or 11.
Well they should have Facebook because they can learn more about people but they shouldn't really because it's dangerous: They could get tracked down by paedophiles and raped...or worse...
Kids should be able to have Facebook since it's a good way for them to socialize with their friends.
For entertainment!!
Kids should have a Facebook because it is fun and they can talk to their friends online. It also saves money because kids won't be on cellphones as much.
Kids should have Facebook!
I think kids should have Facebook because kids want to be on Facebook.
Kids should have their choice. Should they make something that 13 year olds go on. It's their prerogative to have it .
Also if they create a Facebook for kids, you could just lie about your age and create a lot of trouble.
Adults will find a way to get on though, and why not? We should be able to supervise our kids.
What I mean is the predators. What about those adults? They are sometimes parents too.
I like Facebook the way it is.Only for teens and adults.
