First of all, I am going to say this: KIDS SHOULD HAVE FACEBOOK. I am a child, and I have Facebook. My family lives far away, and Facebook helps me connect with a lot of people that I haven't seen in years. It also helps me to socialize with my friends, which I think is really cool. I really think that the age limit is very strict. In my opinion, the age limit should be 10, because at that age, kids are usally mature enough to handle a Facebook. There is also on lot of danger on Facebook, so kids who sign onto Facebook should have a talk with their parents so they KNOW that they should be careful when on Facebook. Parents have the right to check their child's Facebook, so that they can make sure nothing is wrong. You can delete a Facebook account at any time. You can also adjust your settings to very , very, VERY safe settings, so that not everyone can add you or message you. If you are careful with your Facebook account, it will be great fun and will help you connect and be social with your friends and family.
I believe kids aged 11 or up are mature enough to have a Facebook. As long as parents can check to see what they are doing it is perfectly fine.
Most middle-schoolers have Facebooks now and it might socially harm your child by not having one. Think about back when you were a child, wanting what other children want - following a trend is natural for every person.
Eventually, this trend will die, and your child won't even need it anymore, so I would make my child a deal, stick with Facebook, (as long as you can monitor it,) then keep it when the next computer trend comes out.

Kids would still fake their age to get onto Facebook even if there was such a thing as kids' Facebook because kids' Facebook sounds babyish - so I think they will still sneak their accounts behind our backs and when we ask them what they are doing, they will still say I'm on club penguin or msn talking to my friends from school.
It teaches them a lot of skills for life like socializing, picking and choosing their friends, and even how to deal with problems , but some kids should not - like the ones who aren't over 11.

I think that kids should have Facebook because it is something to do and chat with friends. There are is games that are fun and there are things to do that are interactive - like you can make your own quizzes and then take them, and you can write on other people's walls about things to do.

A lot of kids love the internet and Facebook is really fun and addictive. However, if kids are on the regular Facebook, there can be bad people who could say something like, "I know you, but you do not know me. I go to your school and I know that we would be great friends. Would you like to meet me at the park? I would love to meet you!" Then they could do something to the kid.

I think there should be an age limit like 9 and older can have Facebook and if they are young their moms and dads can go on their profile and check what they have been doing and they have to ask their parents who they add as a friend if they someone asks them. Or they can ask them if they have been doing anything naughty and then the kid says yes why they should get grounded for a little bit and their mothers should go on them and do all their daily things.
Well they should have Facebook because they can learn more about people but they shouldn't really because it's dangerous: They could get tracked down by paedophiles and raped...or worse...
