To enable access to your iTunes account then all you need to do is follow the instructions on the iForgot web site. You will need your sign-in information to hand and all the information will be sent accordingly to the email chosen to which you signed up in the first place.
Alternatively you can answer the password recovery question you set when you created your account. For security reasons, Apple unfortunately is in no position to reset the password for you.
If you want to join the biggest technological revolution it is very simple. In order to create an Apple ID or sign in, just use an existing Apple ID. And if you have bought stuff before from the iTunes Store or have a MobileMe account, you can access the very same Apple ID for either.
