Look near all the computers in the house. Thats where they are usually charging or syncing or something like that. Also look in your sunglasses case. Thats where I found my nano but then I got the itouch

Well if you had bluetooth on when you lost it then just take some other bluetooth devices and scan for it it will tell you if you are close

If you have any alarms you can always wait until its sounds then follow it   my sis hid my ipod and my alarms going to sound soon, so I hope I find it

Well if you have the app "Find my iPhone it will tell you where it is.

If it was stolen like mine...and if you had any online apps like I did...IE Texas Hold'em poker from zanga connected thru facebook...you can try what I did. The people that stole it used my device and that app game.  I was able to contact facebook and they were able to tell me from which IP the last connection was made. Hopefully this aids in police investigation as we await pending contact info from ISP.
