My Ipod Won't Stop Playing Out Loud. When I Plug My Headphones In, It Does Play In Them, But Carries On Playing Out Loud. How Do I Stop This From Happening?

Hold the middle button and the menu button at the same time...hold it until the apple symbol shows up....this resets the ipod and just wait a minute until the regular menu shows again and then hit play (did all this with the earphone plugged in)....it worked....

Now I can go back on my commuter train without embarrassing myself...who knows how long I've been playing songs for the whole train!   Hope this helps...

Hey I called apple  and they siad to hold down the center button and the menu button at the same time untill the apple appears I hope this helped!!

Just manually reset....lock, unlock, then hold the top key and middle key until it resets.

I tried the whole "hold the centre button and menu button down" and it worked thanks guys!

Hey,

Well it sounds like your iPod isn't detecting your headphones. Therefore it could be a headphone problem. I would try to restart the iPod, or maybe ringing up Apple themselves.

I did go in to the shop that I bought it from and they told me the same. I'll be handing it in to be fixed.
