There may be a few reasons why you can’t get into your Green Dot account. Check to make sure your username and password is correct. If these are right, then you may have been locked out of the account for security measures.

Go to the website and ensure that you are using the correct website and not a phishing site. The official site is www.greendotonline.com/greendot. You’ll then log in with your User ID and password. If you’ve forgotten either your User ID or your password, you can select "Forgot” below the log in. It will prompt you for your card number and your email address. In a few minutes, you’ll be able to check your email for the correct account credentials.

If this doesn’t work, you’ll need to call Green Dot to check on why you can’t log on. Customer service can be reached at 1-888-795-7597. They will be able to look at your account and determine if it’s been compromised or if there is lack of funds or whatever else the problem may be. They will ask you several questions to ensure that you are who you say you are. These questions will be based off of information you used when you set up the account.

If you continue to have a problem getting into your account online, you may request another card to be able to access your funds with. Customer service should be able to help you with everything that you need. Always ensure that you keep your card with you at all times and that you keep your password memorized or in a safe place so that you can avoid having your account compromised (theft), keeping your identity and your funds safe.

I need to know what birth date is in my record because I can't access my account.

Yesterday I was able to check balance today its saying that the zip code does not match my account it is the same zipcode as yesterday my lights are getting ready to be turned off because I can't use my card help please

GreenDot seems to be a bunch of scammers. The website fails more times than it works. The temp card won't work anywhere even though it says it's activated. I will NOT give them my Soc Sec # because I do not want an account I only want to use my gift card. At least I am only out 15$ (+ 4.95 activation fee) Like the old saying goes 'If you pay someone 20$ and never see them again, it was probably worth it'

Forewarning about Green Dots website, it does indeed screw up badly. I am no going thru my 3rd time trying to reset my password. For some reason the site "forgets" it and says you have the wrong PW. Hitting the "forgot password" has GD send you a temp PW to log in. I type it in (Correctly) and it still comes up "wrong password". Again, this is the 3rd time. Calling support is an exercise in understanding badly broken engrish(sic) that originates somewhere south of Vietnam. Good luck.....

First you order a card. During this process you set up your online account. Once you get the card you need to activate it.

If you already went through this process and can't get in then maybe you misspelled something during account sign up.
