Finding your webcam on your PC should be a relatively simple task.
If you mean where it is physically located, most new laptops have a webcam built in. This is usually located on the top bar of your computer screen and clearly marked. It will also have a microphone and light built in next to it.
For older PCs and those desktops that don’t have an inbuilt webcam, you can place the webcam anywhere you like. But, it is best if you place it square on and so it is above your computer so that you can look into it and type.
If you are unsure of where the webcam software is within your computer, it is usually necessary to insert a CD ROM and install its software in the PC. This should clearly tell you what the webcam is filed under. Usually, when programmes like these are installed they also install a desktop icon for easy access to the software. If this did not happen, though, the webcam should be easily findable by going to the start button, clicking all programmes or the equivalent for the version of windows you are running, and searching for it. It should have some kind of camera icon near it to make this easier. You could also try typing the name of your webcam into the search windows bar, as this usually brings up any programmes with like names.
If your webcam is built in, sometimes they have a software name that is different to the camera make. For example, some computers have a programme called ‘you cam’ which is their webcam, and enables them to warp pictures and create special effects using their cameras. It also enables you to create videos and submit them to you tube in one click.
