Make sure you install the webcam drivers. If the webcam does have a mic, there will be a new device in your volume settings. To get there, double click on the little volume icon down by the clock. Click Options, and Click Properties. Select the Recording radio button. The Microphone should show up in there. Make sure it's not muted and that it is selected.
