How Do I Use The Built In Webcam On A Macbookpro?

In order to use the macbook pro webcam you will be able to access programs on the device such as iChat, iMovie and the Photo Booth which are all preinstalled on the computer. The macbook webcam is known as iSight and you can use it for a number of things.

• What can be used with the macbook webcam: Photo Booth

You can use the webcam to use the programs such as photo booth or iMovie. In this instance you should firstly launch the program that you want to use. Once the program has come on the screen you should select the 'video camera' icon that should be displayed on the program. When it comes to Photo Booth you should select the 'movie clip' option and then choose 'camera'. However on iMovie you should click on the 'video camera' option. After that select 'capture' and then a dialog box will pop up and then you can record the movie.

• iChat

When you're using iChat you can enlist the use of the webcam by firstly launching the iChat program. Then you will be asked to choose your account from the menu that should be displayed. Fill in your screen name as well as your password to use the iChat facility. Once you've clicked on 'done' your contact list will appear. In order to activate the webcam you need to firstly click on the 'camera' icon that should be placed at the top of the buddy list.
