How To Catch Heracross On Pokemon Platinum?

That's easy, follow these steps and you'll get a Heracross in Platinum in no time. First, have some Honey and find some yellow trees, they're Sweet Honey Trees. Sweet Honey Trees are trees that attract Pokemon if the tree has honey. To get Honey, save the Honey man in Floaroma Town from Team Galactic. After you beat Team Galactic, the Honey man will offer Honey for a cheap price.
Make sure you stock up on lots of honey. Now that you have honey, go to a Sweet Honey Tree and put Honey on it. On the next step, it requires a lot of patience, you don't get impatient. On the next step, you have to wait a couple of hours until Pokemon get attracted to the tree. My advice is to probably wait a day, then, come back to the Sweet Honey Tree that you put Honey on. Note - When the Sweet Honey Tree is rumbling, that means a Pokemon has arrived. Also, you should bring a Pokemon with False Swipe because the Pokemon that you encounter will have a low level.
Honey Pokemon will be hard to catch if your Pokemon are overleveled. Here are the chances of Pokemon that you'll encounter:
 
Wurmple - 30%
Combee - 20%
Aipom, Burmy, and Cherubi - 15%
Heracross - 5%
Munchlax - Munchlax appears randomly based on SID.
 
 

To get heracross in platinum you need honey or it wont work talk to the yellow trees in front of them and it will say do you want to put honey answer yes and wait for like a hour or more or a day and remeber wich tree you put it in a you will see the tree moving and a random pokemon will appear but the ones that appear is only munchlax combee heracross buneary aipom and one of them will apear and some time it will be heracross.hope I helped.

You can catch it by using honey tree but it has only a 5% of finding it

You can get a heracross by going to the hunny tree neer sunnyshores. You go and spread hunny and then throw away some berries and thaen you play the wite flute. After that wait till its the next day and go check. These r all the other pokemon you can get

heracross lv: 12-15, munchlax lv: 15-20, beutifly,dustox lv: 10-19

Spread honey on a honey and wait 12 hrs.
