To catch a shiny, you have to find a big patch of grass to chain in, if you want to chain, and begin your chain by using your pokeradar. First, use a max repel. If you don't have money, beat the people around the mansion. Run into a patch of grass that was shaking, and remember how it shook. After you battle, more patches of grass will shake. Choose a patch that is 4 steps away from you of add on to that. (Such as, 4 steps away and go 2 steps to the right.) Do not go to a patch of grass that is 4 steps and 4 steps any other way. If the patches of grass do not come with this theory, reset your radar by walking 50 steps. Do not choose a patch of grass that is on the edge, even if it is 4 away. 2nd to last, Do not choose a patch of grass if two patches of grass are next to each other. Last, if you successfull do this, do it to 40, and reset your radar until you find a shiny patch.
It's seriously hard believe me, I beat platinum once and I never came across 1 but 1 day I was messin around and I came across a shiny staravia! But I 1-h-ko it accidently. Ok I learned this earlier, if you use pokeradar and come across 40 pokemon that r the same the 41st will be a shiny. Btw I found this vid on youtube, I can't recall what it was called but its REALLY useful.
There's a 1/18019 or something chance of seeing one in the wild.You can also hatch one from a pokemon egg.I recommend using a pokeradar to a chain of 40 as the chance of seeing one is 1/2000.

You have to use the poke radar.you can get it after the national dex.all you have to do is go to a large grassy area,make sure that you have the poke radar set on the y button,most importantly,make sure you have very strong pokemon to ko each pokemon and have a lot of repels. I rather 400.just press y on the ds if you are in the grass and you will see some patches of grass started to shake. Go in one of them and a pokemon will apear.if thats the pokemon you want to chain, defeat it. After the battle you see more patches of grass. You have to enter the same type of grass and it has to be further from you.or the chain will break. Keep doing this until you reach you chain to 40. Then start to reset the poke radar over and over until you see a shiny patch of grass.do not enter into any more patches unless it is a shiny patch. I know! Whip out your poke radar, then head into a large patch of grass! Keep using the poke radar until there's a shiny pokemon! (You must have beaten the Pokemon League, obtained the National Dex - this is for Platinum only, as far as I know.)

When I first got pokemon pearl, I found a shiny GOLDEN krickitune! No hacking or cheats! I guess I waz lucky......he-he, I don't have luck very often either..but since you will have little, if ANY chance of finding a shiny pokemon,I suggest you get ACTION REPLAY, they have tuns of codes! I got mine for 20$ at Wall-mart....and to make it easier for you, here's one of the codes that will give you a better chance of finding a wild shiny pokemon when you use the poke radar!

Well I have 33 shiney pokemon. My favorite ones are my shiny palika, dialga, lugia, and most of all my eevee! The way I got them was some over the GTS but the others I got by using the pokeradar in random patches of grass and doeing a 46 chain.evrytime ive done 46 chain ive gotten at least two shineys. Here are some things that some shiney pokemon look like..... Dialga= a lighter sort of blue Palkia= a redish Lugia= insted of the blue under his body theres red. Eevee= grey Deoxys= gold Celebi= redish pinkish butterfree= red Gyrados= red Magikarp= gold well thats it for now got to run hoped I helped
Well ive personally only seen one legit shiny in platinum in eterna forest I found a shiny budew w/o pokeradar it was very,very,very,very,very very lucky
Hey after searching the web theire is an easy way to catch scratch that get a riolu. First go to iron island and go into the cave. Take a right and search for a lift get on and take a left their a trainer called riley from the series will ask you to go with him to the bottom. After you do he will give you an egg. Walk 6000 steps and it will hatch into a riolu.
It is very diffictult but I have not gotton one that is legit.I have all shiny pokemon known.I hacked it but I'm playing a platnum no hacks and I have not seen any shinies. So they are very hard and about the poke radar. It is hard to do that and wastes your time, so don't do it if your bad.
I heard that if you poison your pokemon for 2 weeks it will have a star in its summary take your pokemon to nurse joy and she will take it for 2 days and you will have a shiny.
