Pokemon Platinum How To Get A Shiny Magikarp?

Its really ezy .first go to the resort area because theres only magikarps there.keep fishing with a old rod super rod or a good rod (doesnt matter witch) and evry when you verse a magikarp make sure it faints .keep fishing. The 75th magikarp will be a shiny  magikarp I reccomend you don't count because then you get confused and sumtimes you miss numbers just keep fishin lol .

Start a chian from the resort area

I got very luck catching a shiny magikarp in resort area were the tiny lake is use super rod for it.

I was surfing around in Mt. Coronet (upper) B2F I think and I was looking for a Feebas and I actually found a shiny magikarp

I think just keep trying and trying I have only a good rod so I don't know I need one coz I badly want a shiny Gyarados

Go to resort area and use super rod on the small lake with the palm.

On your way to Solaceon Town from Hearthome City Talk to the Fisherman on the dock , From there he shall give you a Super Rod. Go fishing around that area and you have a 99% Chance of getting a Magikarp on your Second Or First Try.

I have a Red Gyarados!You have to put a ditto and a Shiny gyarados together and you have a 10% chance of getting a shiny magikarp

Go to a place where only Magikarp or Gyarados appear.After 75 Magikarps/Gyarados, you'll find a shiny Magikarp/Gyarados ( Warning: You must beat all the Magikarps/Gyarados you find. Breed a shiny (red) gyrados with a regular gyrados

If you want really high level magikarp on platinum get a super rod and go fishing in the pond at the resort area. You can get magikarp anywhere form level 15 through to level 76!

Have to be lucky. I'd suggest finding a place where you can only catch Magikarp, then chaining them (fishing them out then fainting them) which should increase your chance of getting one by a tad bit.

I found a glitch in the game and it lets do what ever you want without using and action replay or a game shark ill be back in 5 I got to check on my shiny togekiss

You could get silver or gold (the new ones) and you HAVE to battle a shiny Gyarados. And you can get it to I have to because I had to get another game:(

That gyarados isn't shiny team rocket forced magikarp to evolve and that magikarp didnt change color so it looked shiny

I suggest use a super rod in the resort area I found around 5 shiny magikarps hope this helps o yeah use a super repel soo only rare pokemon or shiny pokemon appear trust me thats how I found mine

There's no way 2 get one but only of you're lucky, and it's not true you're only can find a shiny magicarp in resort area, you can find it in different places + don't waste your time looking for it, because it takes %400 damages from electric moves. In additions, get a normal Gyarados & forget about the red one it's only a color nothing more nothing less ;)
