How To Get To Navel Rock In Pokemon Fire Red?

Actually, you CAN get to Navel Rock, but unfortunately, there were some Nintendo Events, in which you go to a Toys R Us, and they download the tickets wirelessly onto your Fire Red/Leaf Green/Emerald game. That event has passed though, and I believe it was in 2006, and they are not doing the events anymore. But, there is another way: Using GameShark - a hack/cheat, which you type in codes, and you get to go to Navel Rock/Birth Island, OR even buy the Aurora Ticket to Navel Rock in a Poke'Mart. Unless you hate cheats, then there is no other way, except trading a friend from their game to yours.

Below: Guide for people who have gotten the ticket, but don't know how to catch Ho-Oh / Lugia/ Deoxys.

Navel Rock- Navel Rock has a level 70 Ho-Oh, and a level 70 Lugia. I believe that you can only catch ONE of them: Ho-Oh or Lugia, or I may be mistaken. If you want Ho-Oh, don't use "Confuse Ray" when its health is low, put it to sleep. It might hurt itself in Confusion when it is Confused. And don't use Poison either. Like all, legendaries, SAVE before you battle them, because, if you kill/make it faint, then you can't try again, unless you start the game all over again. Do the same for Lugia, and keep trying Poke'Balls. If you have your Master Ball still, use it, but if you don't, try using many Ultra Balls. Note: Beforehand, buy tons of Ultra Balls. If you are a starter, and use your Master Ball on Mewtwo, just remember, you CAN catch Mewtwo with an Ultra Ball, but save beforehand.

Birth Island - Birth Island has a level 30 Deoxys, but you have to do this pattern sort of thing with a moving triangle. To accomplish this, walk towards the closest side to you once your character in the game touches the triangle. My idea is, BEFORE doing the "triangle-pattern" thing, SAVE beforehand, because I think that if you don't accomplish it right, the triangle disappears and never comes back. Not sure though. Save AGAIN after figuring out the triangle-pattern thing, after a little character Deoxys appears on Fire Red/Leaf Green/Emerald.

Nintendo also said, that they MIGHT have a downloadable Mystic Ticket/Aurora Ticket in case you didn't get to the event, or wasn't BORN at that time, or didn't know about it at the time. But, no known download is known about yet, so if you are not patient, you can hack, with GameShark (which I don't recommend, because a lot of people say it screws up your game), or trade with a friend, who is fortunate enough and kind enough to trade you. In Poke'Marts, there is a clipboard on the counter. Click on it and it says up top, "Link Together With All." That is the thing you need, and then press "Ok". The person behind the counter will talk to you and say something like, " Oh! You know about the Mystery Gift?", and he tells you how to get it. But, to obtain the "Mystery Gift", you have to have a Wireless Adapter and connect it to your GameBoy. I think then, you go to the Main Menu of your Pokemon game, and click on "Mystery Gift". I am not sure you get the Aurora Ticket or the Mystic Ticket, because I haven't got a Wireless Adapter. BUT it's worth a shot! Good Luck! Hope this helped! ~ Anonymous =) =D

There are indeed more than seven islands in the Sevii Region, nine of them, to be exact. Navel Rock (a.k.a. "Island 8") and Birth Island (a.k.a. "Island 9") are two small unchartered islands which only appear on the town map after you've visited them.

However, you probably already know that the Seagallop that leaves out of Vermillion City won't take you there...unless, that is, you have the proper ID *wink wink*

Now then, how exactly do you get to these islands? Well, before I answer that question, make sure that you've accomplished the following on your Fire Red / Leaf Green game:

-beat the Elite Four (for the first time)
-find the little girl in the Berry Woods and give the meteorite to her father (on
Kin Island (a.k.a. "Island 3")

Once you're sure you've done both the things above, here is what you need to get to the two secret islands (both are key items):

Auroraticket: A ticket required to board the ship to BIRTH ISLAND. It glows beautifully.
Mysticticket: A required to board the ship to NAVEL ROCK. It glows with a mystic light.

But, how do we get these items? Well, sadly and simply....you can't. Unless you were at one of the three Pokémon Rocks America events last year, there is no way to get the tickets. Nintendo says on their official web site that you'll be able to download the tickets from certain retail locations, but no such locations have yet been established.

Tickets are downloaded from a special Nintendo device called a Wonder Spot, which communicates with FR/LG wirelessly using the Mystery Event feature. (To unlock the Mystery Event, go to any Pokémart and inspect the clipboard on the counter. Fill out the servey with "Link together with all")

The Mystery Event ONLY exists to communicate with a Wonder Spot, and you can't use it with another GBA, like you could in G/S/C. It's not certain at this time whether the tickets can be traded from one GBA to another using the "friend" option in the mystery event.

Once you have the tickets, go talk to the sailor at the end of the docks at Vermillion City, and he'll register the tickets, allowing you to go to Navel Rock and Birth Island as many times as you want.

Now, on to the islands themselves!

~Navel Rock~

Navel Rock, a.k.a. Island 8, is located between islands 4 and 5. Once you have the Mysticticket, go to the dock in Vermillion City, and take the Seagallop-High Speed 12 to get to the island. Note that you can fly to islands 4 and 5 from this island, but you can't fly TO this island. Also, you can only get here from Vermillion (in other words, there is no boat from island 4 to Navel Rock, etc.)

Once you've arrived, walk up into the cave, and follow the path up, ignoring the passages that you'll see on your left and right. Once you can't go up any more, you'll come to a long room with two ladders: One heading down, and the other heading up. If you walk down the ladder, and keep heading down on the next screens, you'll get to Lugia. The ladder heading up leads to Ho-oh.

Both Lugia and Ho-oh are on Level 70, so come prepared with powerful pokémon, plenty of healing items, and at least 90 ultra balls.
