Hi well I know some places where you can easily get some shinys here they are -the pond next to the bell tower ( a blue poliwag ) -the diglett cave ( I don't know color diglett ) -I don't know if this is true hatching eggs on cinnabar island ( whatever's in the egg ) -lake of rage ( red gyarados ) -starters and legendaries ( just keep on reseting ) -in oceans ( I don't know color tentacool ) -in the ruins of alph ( a blue unoun ) -breeding with a diffrent cultures pokemon
me well on pearl ( I lost it :( ) a blue unoun and a pink and green golbat on ss I just a red gyarados
Ok, some people don't know much about shiny pokemon, so I'm going to explain a few things. I've got 9 shiny pokemon, I have a shiny tentacruel [was a tentacool], spinda, linoone, vileplume [was a oddish], bellsprout [not evolving it], ditto [found it on a pokeradar chain of 2, the only pokeradar pokemon I have], gyarados, marowak [found in safari zone], and latias [took 25 resets to find], currently trying for a suicune. Theres a 1 in 8,192 chance of finding a shiny pokemon every battle. On diamond, pearl, and platinum you can use the pokeradar to improve your chances of finding a shiny pokemon. If you get a pokemon from a different nationality and breed it with one of your own, theres a 1 in 2,048 chance of the pokemon in the egg being shiny. Breeding a shiny does NOT improve chances of getting a shiny. When you evolve a shiny it will stay shiny, just like its nature and gender will not change. Also, always have at least 25 of some kind of pokeball on you, you will never know when one will pop up! Hope I helped!
In my soul silver I've got a shiny suicune, an awesome shiny noctowl (caught when a hoot hoot) also with a shiny weedlw and I want a dotti shiny but its too difficult
I have had a shiny cyndaquil(typhlosion) weedle(beedrill)caturpie(butterfree)and red gyarados the weedle and caterpie were from bug contest and cyndaquil was a shiny starter(female to)
A really good way to get shinies is to get 2 pokemon that can breed, they don't have to be the exact same pokemon, like chansey and pikachu can breed, to get the shinies, even though it's hard, try getting them from the GTS, it worked for me, On the GTS, shinies are hard to get because idiots think that a person would want to trade a lvl. 100 legendary for a lvl. 1 shiny
Well I found a shiny pidgey by vermelion city or saffron city but I wasnt expecting it it was the only pokemon that ive found in that route (it was complete luck)
So one my first emerald game, I was surfing around trying to find a damn Feebas, but I came across a shiny Tentacool. Awesome! So I caught it. Whilst heading back up to Fortree, I got in a battle in some of the long grass and it turned out to be a shiny Oddish FTW. That's my story- I caught two shinies within 5 minutes of each other. Talk about astronomical odds.
You do not have to find a certain pokemon 40 times in a row. When I challenged suicune it was shiny...... I didnt use action replay and no glitches were on my game. Also if you want a shiny legendary,my advice would be to save before you encounter the legendary pokemon, and if it isn't shiny, turn off the game and challenge the legendary again. Keep repeating the process until the legendary pokemon is shiny.
I never really caught a legit shiny until a few days ago when I was in viridian forest and I caught a shiny weedle and it was crazy because I wasn't even thinking about shiny pokemon it was totally random. Its the same for all shinies. Just keep travelling around. Good luck!
If you breed a pokemon that you want to be shiny with a pokemon from another game country (like the Japanese version of the game) the chances of the egg being shiny are better.
I'm catching all my shinies on my platinum, then trading them over to my Soul Silver game. Chaining is the easiest way to find shinies. I caught a shiny Fearow yesterday and a shiny Sneasel today. It's easy but takes time and patience. There are loads of guides on how to chain pokemon. Just look them up. I now have enough shinies for a shiny team. A shiny Pichu, a shiny Gyarados, a shiny staraptor, a shiny sneasel, a shiny fearow and a shiny chimchar. I'm trying to hatch a shiny Charmander but it is proving to be verrry difficult!
I found a shiny wingull in my Emerald game. It was sheer luck! I migrated it and I could pretty much get any pokemon for it, but I like my shiny wingull!
Once I found a shiny vulpix while SURFING no cheats or anything , and I caught it and it was gold... I think it was on emerald but that was years ago and I sold the game :(
In soul silver I only got 2 shinies counting gyrados! The other pokemon is well another gyrados so I'm kinda upset plus I don't think I will ever get another shiny pokemon ever!
If you get False Swipe in the Goldenrod city it will leave it with one HP now I've got shiny Steelix Eggxegutor and Gyaradoes in Soulsilver . And about a year ago I caught a Zubat and got a pink and green Crobat it was mint .
I have a shiny green zubat lvl15,Charizard lvl 45 shiny black and a pink qualia lvl 33 hatched from 1594 eggs fail and finaly a shiny I used to have in ss
I once saw a shiny Rattata on burnt tower (or bell tower.. Don't remember) and even tough I saw it shine I was like.. What the heck? So I guess I was just desperate for Ho-oh and ran away XD

I have completed this game. The steps are simple... You see the certain pokemon (in about) 8,000 times -.- 1/8,000 will be shiny. I don't think it's really worth it, way too much work -w-' But hey if you keep on going on in the game theres a shiny gyarados at the lake of rage which isn't too far in the game so it can count sorta like a starting pokemon and oh...(sorry, just realising this now..) it will be EXTREMELY hard (probably) to get a shiny cindaquil because each time you don't get it and restart the game the whole 1/8,000 bit restarts. So the chances are very very very slight, it wont be worth the work. Also why don't you aim for getting a female cindaquil, your pokemon will be unique because the chances of so are only 12.5% you'll just have to keep restarting the game but at least it's much easier than getting a shiny cindaquil. ^ ^ Or.. You could just go buy ection replay and get a your shiny little starter there..
I Was looking for A Pikachu with a lightball in Platinum, I was at the Pokemon Mansion, and for about an hour, I ran into a shiny Mime JR. It evolved into Mr. Mime and I looks pretty cool, it has Porclain Skin and The pink spots are now green! It is a pretty good Pokemon! Oh Mime JR just had a greenish overcoat like the hat part was like dark Cyan. Oh an I managed to get a Light Ball! Just have a pikachu with static on you party and teach it Thief! It took a couple of pikachus until I finally got it! :0 I'm really want a Shiny Nidorina but I spent an hour is SOul SIlver on the rt to the RIght Of Fuschia City b/c a lot of Nidorinas are located there but no luck! GOt a couple of SHiny's for GTS tho I got A Shiny: Venomoth Salamance Breloom Milotic Poliwag (now Poliwrath) Nidoking and Metagross
About the shiny ditto + another pokemon- Ditto's are hard to come across, so a SHINY one would be hard. It took me 5 wee ks to find a regular ditto. Also, can you really breed 2 pokemon of different species??? I haven't tried it yet, I'm still breeding my Samuel (BAYLEAF) and Replay (DITTO) as well as VULPIX and Replay (DITTO)
This is strange. I'm looking for shiny pokemon on the route left of New Bark Town. It's night so I find lots of hoothoots in a row but when I find a pokemon on the edge of the grass patch it is always a rattata. I don't know why this is happening.
Go to ruins of alph,I was just looking for unown when I came across a shiny!then I went to dark cave and I came across a shiny zubat!now it's a crobat and it looks like mint!this is very rare but you might come across a shiny starter when you are choosing.I came across a shiny squirtle when I was choosing and now it's a green and pink blastoise!like I said it's sheer luck and very rare.oh yeah,I forgot to tell you there is a shiny poliwag in the river by sprout tower.there is a very,very you will find a shiny.I don,t know what the action replay code is.well, I hope you have good luck finding shiny pokemon.just remember,they are very and hard to find.:)
I encountered 3 shinies and caught 2 #1: Lol I forgot #2: Pelipper (did not catch they are ugly) #3: Weedle (lol the thing about this was I was bored while training chikorita on route 30 in ss and I had the screen only just in sight and I encountered a weedle and I thought the colour was different because of my view but when I looked up it was shiny XD!)
Hey for all the people out there if you have HG/SS the easyest shiney pokemon to find is the red gyarados in the lake of rage it is at level 30 and is easy to cach with one net ball but other then that I don't have any shiny pokemon but that shiny gyardos so help me out!!! And I beat the game 5 times help me out
I found a shiny abra while walking in the grass which is now a shiny alakazam that is drk yellow and purple. Ialso caught shiny hoothoot while hedbutting a tree on route 26 it was yellow and brown and is now a noctowl which is also yellow and brown. Hope this helps 8-}
It's a 1 out of 8000 to run in to a shiny thare is no quicker way to run into a shiny so if you run into a shiny but you have only meet 1378 w pokemon then you still have to finnished the 8000 and you can get a shiny from a EEG but you can't tell if it is shiny intill it hatches and the chances are very low that you catch it in a designated spot I fill up 8 pc boxs of evee eggs and the last batch of eggs I got a shiny then I caught a shupute pigeot another evee pichu golbat but on ss it ruins ut chances of running into a real shinny that is int in the storie line and action replays
Let's say it's totaly luck. I got in my pokemon Fire red 2 Shiny's: Slugma and Fearow and I saw once a shiny koffin, But back then I didn't know what a Shiny was and that it was special and defeated it because I thought I was colour blind. XD The Slugma was from a Friend of mine and traded it with me :D. (srry for bad English)
On my diamond game I found a green zubat!I tried to catch it but I think that I either 1:ran out of poke balls.or 2:defeated it on acciedent.I don`t remember.But I was like "COOL" when I saw it.
I had a random encounter with a shiny geodude! I was like oh my god and I caught it but I didnt save it.and I cut if off and I was like NOOOO! My shiny geodude!
I tottaly want to shoot myself I was in the safari zone and found a shiny chansey! But it got scared and fled I was like most ultimate hard to find shiny. Chanseys are rare in themselves!!!
Getting a shiny in HG/SS is just like in the original gold and silver, there is no special way, it's just luck of the draw. I caught a shiny ursaring in the grass patch outside the pokecenter on Mt. Silver.
I found a Shiny Nidoran(male) and now I have a kickass Blue/Orange Nidoking in my party. You'll can't touch THAT! I also found a shiny Machamp, which I guess I'll evolve and try to use simply cause he's special :P

Shiny pokemon are rare alternate coloured pokemon but nothing additionally special you can obtain them thru pokemon platinum ,diamond, pearl more easily than in other versions through continious chain of pokeradar and its best to use repel to not to break the continious chain the grass will glow than shake if the shiny pokemon is in the grass
I have 2, a koffing and a Gyarados, I found teh koffign in my pokemon emerald, I wasn't even looking but all of a sudden, there was a blue koffign in front of me. It is now in my pokemon diamond. My Gyarados was the one programed in sooo... There wasn't much to that. My advice, either mget good at chaining on diamond, peral and platnum (unlike me, I am terrible), ge HG/SS because you are 100% garentees to get a shiny Gyarados or just walk around in the grass a lot until you find one. If you are going to try for a specific pokemon (that isn't a legendary) I would suggest a diglet or a tentacool because they can be found in a certain spot with only that pokemon, diglets cave and pretty muc every sea respectivly because there won't be anyother pokemon to stop you from getting it that is all I have to say.
Also, srry bout all the spelling errors, I am tired, half sick and not in the mood to look up the names of pokemon that I misspelled.
Allot of people don't want to know what shiny pokemon you have they want to know how to get shiny pokemon but I really got to say this but I LIKE CHEESE! !woe its taking me ages to make all of these marks XD! I like wizard101
