Give a quick claw to a crobat (because if da quick claw doesnt work it will be hopefully faster than mesprit) use mean look , make sure it knows false swipe and then use that . Also make sure crobat is pretty high (60-100) so mesprit has atleast 1 hp left , throw any kind of ball and shout gotcha! Into da microphone and that will catch that little B@$T3R3D! I hope this helps you.
First you find mesprit then you poison him after that put him to sleep.then you have 11 turns before he wakes up.now use ultra balls.around the 7th or 8th turn you will catch him. Hope I helped!!
Get yourself a CROBAT because its cooler than a golbat and faster. Use mean look on mesprit if your Crobat is somewhere at level 40-50. Then fight it until it's hp is in the red bar. Throw at least 10 Ultra balls at it and then a timer ball. If it doesn't work just use timer balls.
Your going to need the following pokemon:
Staravia/Staraptor with Endeavor and higher than lvl.40
Golbat with Mean Look/Wobbufet lvl. 40 or higher.
Items: At least 30 of Ultra, Poke', Great, Dusk.
First, go and get your Staravia/Staraptor poisoned. You can do this by either searching for Roselia and attack/kill em until you get poisoned, or fight poison type pokemon until they use a poison type move that poisons you, or if you have Roselia/Roserade that knows Toxic, go fight in a double battle using Star... And Rose... .Use Toxic on Star.... And win the battle. Walk around until you have Star.... At 1 HP.
Next try to encounter Mesprit/Cressilia in a route in which there is another route next to it with grass/water. Bring out Star.... And use Endeavor, this will bring them down to 1 HP. They will then flee.
Try to encounter Mesprit/Cressilia again and this time put Golbat/Wobbufet in front of your team. If Golbat, use Mean Look. Mesprit/Cressilia will stay this time until the Pokemon faints, switches, etc. Keep using Ultra Balls or one of the suggested ones above until captured. I
If failed then repeat the process. Buy more balls, heal your wobbufet/golbat. If Star.... Fainted, heal it and repeat the process of poisoning it.

Just use mean look then take it to as low hp as you can and then use yawn or something that makes it sleep and then you use some pokeball because the pokemon of the lake has its own pokeball uxie has normal pokeball azelf has great ball and mespirit I don't know so try different balls
Have a pokemon use mean look on it this will make it unable to flee then use false swipe this move can be bought in veilstone city this move hurts mespirit but makes it have 1 hp left. Then throw pokeballs then master balls then ultra balls if it hasent been caught yet then use a timer ball it should be caught with a timer ball
If you have the national pokedex migrate wobbuffet from pokemon lg(leafgreen) or fr(firered) put wobbuffet in front of your party because of his shadow tag ability or catch a male digtrio and put it in front of your party because of his arena trap ability then weaken mespirt then use any kind of ball you want
You just lob pokemon balls at them balls
Throw a masterball
Just throw a master ball at it
Use scary look so it can't leave
First I got a level 57 haunter and caught it in a quick ball
Yeah but he runs away before you get the chance to use mean look
Eat cheese then do it, I did this and it worked!
Use block then weaken it then throw a ultra ball.
The best way is to keep tracking it down and weaken it until its easy to catch and use mean look to keep it in the match longer if you like timer balls
Have a pokemon that knows mean Look so it can't escape. And another one that knows fury swipes so mesprit can't get knocked out then capture it when it only has 1 HP.
I see mesprit on my marking map but it keeps running away from me on my poketech
SAVE FIRST! Then, assuming you have already caught giritina, use dragon claw a few times, or ancient power. It should weaken mesprit enough so that you can catch him with around 10 ultra balls.
Use mean look then put it to sleep and lower its health then try to catch it.
Use sleep then mean look or block and chuck ultra great or timer balls
Every time I get close it teleports some place else. I can not keep up I want to use mesprit against the elite four.along with uxie and giritina. (sorry about spelling)
You get a pokemon that knows mean look and then you use it on MISPRIT
First, to encounter it, go to Jubilife. Set the poketech app to marking map. Now go up and down the the set of stairs to Route 203 at the right side of the city. Every time you do so, Mesprit will teleport. Wait until it teleports to the route between Jubilife and Canalave city, Route 218, and you are on the left side of the stairs. Then walk/run/bike out to where Route 218 is and surf around the water where the icon is until it apears. This should only take a few minutes and works for all wandering pkemon, except Moltres seemed to hate the water and I had to chase it all over Shinnoh. After that you should either chuck a quick ball at it or, if it seems to be quick ball-proof, use mean look and consectutively chuck a varietly of balls at the poor creature. Hope this helps!
First you will have to get a pokemon that knows scary face and make sure that its speed is higher than 110 and lower its health to about red and start chucking ultra balls and if night dusk balls. What I did was I used scary face and I waited until like 15-20 turns and used a timer ball you can do that to hope it helped
To catch mesprit you have to have a dark/flying pokemon is not in platinum so you have to trade it )murkrow has to be lv 41 and you have to use mean look then just hit him a few times but don't kill it , then when hes hp is in red use a dusk ball if is night if is day use a quick ball.
Heres a little secret, stand right on the border between a route and a town or city and walk back and forth between them. Notice every time you leave a city or route Mesprit moves. Eventually it will move right to your exact location then go search the grass for it.
You find him running around in the wild. 1st. You have to have a pokemon level 47 or higher at least gengar does and then have another pokemon level 45 put it to sleep like polywhirl with hypnosis and then you got to have a pokemon that knows furyswipes (skyther). Then you keep chucking ultra balls for 20 or so turns and after that start using quick or timer balls.
Weaken him out then use poke balls in this order dusk ultra quick timer then use a ultra ball
I prefer the one the guy that said the lvi thingy>?? I did it.... I REALLY WORKED!!!
BUT
I need to train my Golbat until lvi.50 so that it lets me to do it....
REALLY good idea guy!!

How does that help? The pokemon is still not going to be able to attack mesprit before it flee's. Is their an item that the pokemon can hold that will either let it attack first or not let the pokemon flee?
First get a pokemon that can use mean look, use mean look first then start weaken it and then throw pokeballs at it
Earn 3 badges then go to the poketech co. Talk to the president. Then he will give you a marketing map
Ok first use a automatic sleeping move not yawn something like leaf whistle then it will flee next time you see it it will be sleeping then catch it
Catch a pokemon such as Murkrow, Haunter, or Golbat that can use mean look, train them up a little, and then just use your higher level pokemon to beat at them until they're almost out. Putting them to sleep with yawn helps too.
Hmm I have the same problem but which ball is better used on the mespirit? Ultra ball, premier ball, dusk, ball, or any others, other than the master ball.
First have a x speed give it to a pokemon that knows mean look.once you find mesprit use mean look
I have a snorlax and I use block but he runs away before I can use it help!
If you want to use mean look train the pokemon until it is stronger then mespirit
hope this helps
hope this helps
Its a game of patience. But it is a good idea to have a wobbufett in your party.
First of all use a pokemon which knows block cause if a pokemon knows mean look then mesprit can beat it very easily cause it is a golbat. So after you use block retreat your pokemon which knows block and sent out a pokemon which knows false swipe. Then when its hp is down you should throw a dusk ball. I am talking about how to catch it at night.
You can chuck a master ball if you haven't done so before on others.
Use a Master ball on him.
Yea but the thing is its running away every time a change route when I try to get to it
Use mean look on it or put it to sleep and then use mean look
Taco!!
