How To Catch Lugia In Pokemon Platinum Without Action Replay?

In order to obtain Lugia for Pokemon Platinum you will have to transfer it from either the Pokemon Sapphire, Ruby, LeafGreen, Emerald, or FireRed game cartridge.

- Get the Right Cartridge

Firstly, while you are on your Pokemon Platinum you should make sure you get the National Dex and then save the game. Once you've done that, locate the appropriate game that contains Lugia and slot the cartridge into your device.

- Transfer Lugia

Turn your device on and then locate the option that states 'migrate', which will be displayed on the menu screen. You will then have the choice of a number of Pokemon to transfer, so make sure you pick Lugia along with five other Pokemon characters. These Pokemon will be transferred to Platinum.

- Head to Pal Park

Once you've completed those steps, you need to find Pal Park which is on the east side of Route 221. After you've entered the park seek out the man who should be standing in front of the gate - ask to play a catching game with him that will ensure you receive six park balls.

- Find Lugia

Once you have received the six balls you should travel up towards the mountainous area and just run around in the grass for a while- at some point you should encounter Lugia. In order to obtain this character you should use one of the park balls you just received to capture it.

Go to eterna city talk to professor oak he will tell you about the 3 legendary bird in sinnoh after you captured all of them go to professor owan's house there you will find professor oak, they will tell you about the "guardian of the sea"(lugia) then they will give you the shiny orb the go to the sea around sunnyshore city , have articuno,zapdos and moltres in your party then use the shiny orb , the will be a flush in you screen the lugia will be floating the use surf to get to it

There is a way to get lugia without AR or GS in pokemon platinum. First, you catch the legendary birds ( you must already have caught or killed mespirit and cresellia). Then you go to New moon island ( where you get Darkrai). If you can't get there, try the tweaking glitch (www.youtube.com; search for "how to get Darkrai - WITHOUT ACTION REPLAY - tweaking glitch). (Once you get to Darkrai, you will be on newmoon island. Then you take the ship back to canavel city. The you can go to new moon island) okay, once you reach new moon island from canavel city, you place your party such that 1st 3 pokemon on your rooster are articuno, zapdos and moltres (in this specific order). Then enter the cave thing where you catch Darkrai, and Lugia will  be there. It's picture will appear, and it will vanish. Then, you catch it (it will be roaming like the birds). This is NOT FAKE. I've tried on 4 platinum games and I got it all the 4 times. It doesnt require AR or GS. Hope I helped.

You can catch a HO-OH and Lugia by getting an orb thats hidden on a rock so then you can acess the tunnel thats called the UNKNOWN Cave

Ok well first you have to go valor lakefront and go to the house with a pool in front of it.....then talk to the game director n get the diploma then find a house with a man sitting at a desk.....keep on talking to him and make him talk about tin tower .....then ho oh will b roaming free n make the guy talk about whirl islands 4 lugia!!!!it works I tried it but they don't appear on your marking map

Get moltres & articuno & zapdos and go to the large stone behind the elite 4 building ( access in the tunnel before elite 4)  with only them in your party and press a. A lugia will fly down behind you.

P.S: You can can an orb for lugia and then it will appear at spear pillar.

My name is giberilla and all I did was put legend birds in party and talk to tablet in route 224 and    level 100 lugia and ho-ho appeared at the same time I caught both with pokeball full health and did not had to attack them because moltres and zapdos was battling fist

You...you go into the poke-mart,then go back out.(do 5 times)  Whenever the screen is black,(you do this in oreburgh city)press L+R. Go to the oreburgh mining museum and do the same thing with you did with the poke-mart.

On the killing unknown thing to get calebi thing can you save it in the middle of killing them?

Catch moltres articuno and zapdos then go to full moon island go where cresselia was and lugia will be there at lvl 75

Make sure you have caught all 3 legendary birds. Go to the game director @ valor lakefront & get the diploma thing from him. Now go to the man @ valor lakefront hoo talks about the places ho-oh & lugia live @. If he says the whirl islands go to the grass outside of lake valor & lugia will appear! B careful it will flee from battle if he says the tin tower go to the same place & ho-oh will appear! It will flee too they r both @ level 70

I got a code for my AR and it had Lugia-AND Ho-oh, Mew, Entei, Raiku, Suicune, and Celebi. (Separate codes, same site.) Not code-junkies. The only attacks are WHIRLWIND!!! Well, for Lugia and Ho-oh, anyway. I haven't checked the other pokemon's attacks. And, the bad part is, the highest level to catch them is 7-9. Sometimes they might be almost dead, (on red,) or may have full health. I'm going to use the codes 1 Hit Kill, Restore Health In Battle, Quick EXP Gain, and/or Super EXP Gain. (I'm working on it.) If anybody wants one, just have a trade with me!!! :)

Don't use the pokemon modifire code for him,its basically a fake lugia you can't even use him on battle revolution online,I'm going to try the bird thing I've never heard about it before but I guess its worth a try,If anyone knows a code for the "Official Lugia"modifire tell me

Ok here's how. You get an Action Replay which is a cheating device you buy. Find the code on the internet, type it into the AR then activate it and find a Lugia in the grass. Oh and the whole things about the Unowns and the old man near Azelf are lies. Lugia is normally uncatchable in Platinum unless you cheat.

It's really simple. 1.Just borrow someones DS for a bit. 2. Put pokemon platinum in one and heartgold/soulsilver in the other. 3. Put a tradeable pokemon in your party in platinum and Lugia and/or Ho-oh for the other game. 4. Go to the middle room in the 2nd floor of the pokemon center. 5. Talk to the other games character and select trade.6. Trade the desired pokemon.  that simple!! (I promise this is probably the most reasonable way, no offense to other answerers)P.S. I've done this millions of times with my games!

Sorry but you can either just migrate from pokemon lefgreen, fire red or water blue. But just use AR if you have one.

You need national dex. Go to pc and release ten legendary pokemon and exit the pc. Then save your game and get your hms for spear Pilar. When you get there use the black flute and the cave will open and you will vs lugia at lv. 5. I AM SERIOUS!

Very simple.First, get a spoink and teach it magical coat(I'm pretty sure this is the only pokemon that can learn it.Next, go to route 224.Have spoink use magical coat on the stone tablet.A giant blur will appear, it's Lugia.P.S you need to beat elite 4 and get a national next.

You go to solaceon ruins. Make sure you don't own any UNOWNs also make sure you havnt killed any UNOWN before. Having a full pokedex cheat and no unowns doesnt work. After entering the ruins go up/down the stairs in this order:
TOP RIGHT
LOWER LEFT
TOP RIGHT
TOP LEFT
TOP LEFT
LOWER LEFT
you should be in a room with writing on the wall and if this is your 1st time in the ruins there will be 4 items.
The writing reads:
FRIENDSHIP
ALL LIVES TOUCH OTHER LIVES TO CREATE SOMETHING ANEW AND ALIVE
run around the ruins and kill 100-120 (I forget :S) unowns it doesnt matter what form.
After killing them, leave the ruins using a repel or you will have to shut your game off and start over. Walk around any patch of grass or water and celebi will appear. I havnt finished testing this but it got 97% good feedback so I'm pretty sure it works.

Hellow kill 30 unkowns go to mining museum go in the grass kill 10 pokemon then to the unkown cave(were you find unkowns) go to the very bottom then save and go to your bag and trow away 20 pokeballs and leave go to your pc and   have dealga on the top and palkea on the bottom go back to the bottom of the cave save agin turn of your ds and turn it back agin and talk to the wall and it shood talk about legendary pokemon in the cave and all the pokemon you run into shood be legendary pokemon and this is not fake and they are very esey to catch and it worked for me so have fun

I catch a Lugia level 30 with out cheating. Just finish the national pokedex then talk to the man near you get Azelf. And it would be a roaming pokemon.

Put them in your party and go to your house.Then your mom will ask you if you know the secret code say yes and type in CPUE-P4821 then your mom will say oh now I remember and she will give you a egg if you it depends on your starter if you have a fire starter she will give you the egg for HO-OH if you chose water you will get LUGIA and if you chose grass you will get MEW
