The most straightforward way to sign in to a different account is to first log out of whichever MSN/Hotmail account you are currently signed in to, and then log back in as a different user.

However, you may want to be signed into more than one account at the same time, since many people have multiple email accounts that they use for different purposes. To learn how to do this, then read on.

Using Multiple Browsers
It's likely that you have more than one web browser installed on your system, such as Firefox, Google Chrome or Safari. If so, then open another browser to run alongside the one that you normally use -and then you can log in to both accounts simultaneously.

If you cannot find any other browser on your machine, then you might want to consider downloading one.

Private Browsing
All modern, mainstream browsers come with a 'Private Browsing' mode. However, Chrome is currently the only one which will allow you to be signed in to more than one Hotmail account at a time - within the same browser, by default.

To do this, you will need to enable 'Incognito Mode' - click on the 'Options' button at the top right of the browser window, and then select 'New Incognito Window'.

You will then be able to log in to your other account from within this new window, and switch back to your other account at any time.

Installing Browser Extensions
If you use Firefox, then it is possible to install an extension called 'Cookie Pie'. To do this, go to this site using Firefox and then click 'Install Extension'.

Once the extension has been installed, you will then be able to maintain two separate log-in sessions, each contained within their own tab, but inside the same browser window.

The benefit of this approach is that you can tell Firefox to keep you logged in to both accounts, so that you won't need to sign-in manually to either account again after closing your browser.
