Opera is the safest. You may not be able to view all web pages though. Firefox has been shown to have a good record as well. But there is NO doubt that OPERA is the safest.
I personally was using almost all web browsers and did not find any apparent difference in their security issues. All are good and in the same time equally vulnerable. Feel free to use the one you like most...
Use hushmail its totaly encrypted and up to 50 character password hushmail is the absolute most secure

So long as there are things for hackers/crackers to work against such as microsofts infamouse quote "windows Xp will be un crackable" there will never be a safe way to browse the net when ever you sit at the pc you run a risk even now as I type this message using mozilla to view this page and IE to view a few others I'm risking my system being comprimised. They recomend running the latest AV and firwall software but sometimes thats a bad things updates can carry security issues. The whole question can be summed up in one sentence to be honest None are truely safe and secure just use what you feel comfortable with.
