Personally, I'd say it's not okay at all - not unless he's told you that you can.

Why Isn't It Okay To Read My Boyfriend's Text Messages?
Well, it shows a lack of respect, really!

I'm married, and my husband and I don't read each other's private messages. I trust that he's not cheating on me, and I know it's none of my business what he texts his friends about.

I'd also be very annoyed if I found out he was reading my text messages - he's supposed to trust me, after all!

Besides, you wouldn't like it if your boyfriend was spying on you and reading your messages - even if you had nothing to hide.

How Can I Find Out Who My Boyfriend Is Texting Without Reading The Messages?
This should be simple, really - just ask him!

If you're worried that he'll lie to you, then see if he hesitates before responding. Honestly, though, there should really be enough trust between the two of you that you don't have to worry about who he's texting.

Yes - if he has nothing to hide, then it should be okay, but if he starts acting up then you know something is going on that he doesn't want you to know about.

On the other hand, no, because you should trust him and not go through his phone, and you should let him have his own space that's just for him.
