How so you unlock ipod touch if you have forgotten your password?
It is very easy to lock your iPod if you have forgotten your password or accidentally entered it incorrectly. There is a way of getting it unlocked however so there is no need to worry.
According to the Apple website, if you have forgotten your password and cannot unlock your iPod, simply plug it into the original computer it was first synced with. The computer will in theory recognize the iPod and once it is then disconnected from the computer, it will no longer be locked.
If you are unable to connect it to the original computer it was connected with, you may have to restore the settings by using the iPod updater. This will however erase all your music and other data such as photos so you will have to upload it again once you have unlocked it.
Put the iPod into DFU mode. It will wipe everything off your iPod but it will at least make sure you can get into it
For any reason any of the above mentioned steps do not work for you, it may be easier just to get in touch with Apple customer service where an agent will be able to help you restore your iPod step by step. Visit their website for information on how to get in contact:
