Thoroughly wet a soft cloth, like a baby diaper or well washed white tee-shirt, and wipe horizontally starting from left to right.  No swirls!  Light film or steaks of water will result.  Take a second clean soft cloth and wipe in same manner.
If the screen is not scratched, the streaks will be gone.

You need a very soft cloth, I suggest you get a propper glass cloth. You need to spray the cloth lightly with water. Do not soak it or damp it to much. Spray it with water for best results. Then rub the screen lightly in one direction.
Repeat steps until satisfied. Please do not use Windex again. Usually you get a cloth with the lcd tv and a note to say that you should not use ANY solutions whilst cleaning your tv. You should only use water. H20.

I accidentally used a rag that had windex on it on my LCD flatscreen. I did what the 4th person up from my comment did and that's to use the magic eraser..I just bought a cheap dollar one from dollar tree and used the white side of it without any water. Also it will help if you scrub in circles and not side to side to you don't leave any traces. Cleaned my screen like nothing had ever happened to it. Hope this helps you =)

I have a 2010 Sony Bravia 55" and I just cleaned it with Green Works Natural multi-surface cleaner and a cloth diaper and it looks great!  I just put a little cleaner one side to remover fingerprints and the dry side and a little elbow grease to dry the screen.  No streaks. No cleaner residue.

Windex cannot paint your screen. It is a solvent and the pink streaks is a result of dissolved surface of the screen. Every LCD panel has a coating on top of the actual screen, this is what is damaged. I do not believe that you can easily rid of the streaks. However, the LCD screen in a laptop is easy to remove and replace. You may learn from some on-line guide how to do this: www.laptopscreen.com

If you have STREAKS on the surface then use a microfiber cloth. If you used an ammonia based cleaner then you damaged the material that makes up your LCD screen and you got a very expensive lesson in how to read the manual that comes with your electronic devices.

You should never use anything to clean a plasma tv accept water and a soft non-abrasive cloth.

Sadly, you can't.  It is always better to use the special cleaner that they sell in electronic stores just for flat screen tv's and monitors.
