My son dropped his DS in water once. Don't turn it on because the battery sending current might fry it- then it's really done. Take off the battery, air dry it for a few days and it will hopefully work.

I accidentally dropped my dsi in a basin of water I took it out straight away it didnt work for a day but it fully dried out and now its working perfectly :)
