The fish/water Pokémon Feebas can be found in the Quiet Cave route, only in the Pokéwalker, and thus transferred back to the HeartGold and SoulSilver versions of Pokémon games.

  • What is a Pokéwalker?
A Pokéwalker is a pedometer that was sold in Japan along with the release of Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver. It's a Pokéball-shaped object that has three buttons, and an LCD screen. When walking with it, it records each step the player takes, and allows the player to catch Pokémon, and transfer them to either HeartGold or SoulSilver with infrared, to connect with the games. Alternatively, the player can transfer Pokémon to the Pokéwalker, and so gain experience points from the player simply walking around.

Once each set of 20 steps is taken in real life while wearing the Pokéwalker, the player will earn one "watt". Each watt, also abbreviated to simply "w", earns experience for the player inside the Pokéwalker game. Watts are referred to as the "currency", so every form of progress with the Pokéwalker is measured with watts.

  • So how do I get to the Quiet Cave route in the Pokéwalker?
The Quiet Cave route is only unlocked once you receive the National PokéDex. You also have had to acquired all 16 gym badges, from defeating the 16 different gym leaders. One you have the National PokéDex, and you have all 16 gym badges, then you can use the Pokéwalker to get to the Quiet Cave route, which requires a total of 100,000 Watts to be obtained. In other words, after taking roughly 2,000,000 steps, then you can have the chance to catch Feebas in Quiet Cave, and then transfer it to HeartGold or SoulSilver.
