A domain refers to a collection of computers in the network. Every domain is administered using particular procedures and rules. In order to connect your computer to a domain you can do these steps:
Go to the control panel-- >System and maintenance-- > System. In the Computer name tab, click on the change button. A dialog box will open. Under Member of, select Domain. Type the name of the domain and then click ok. You will be required to give your username and password for the domain. After becoming the member of the domain you would have to restart the computer. In order to create a domain username and account for your computer, you can use the wizard by clicking on Network ID in the Computer Name tab.
