What Is The Best Ball To Catch Entei In Pokemon Soul Silver?

What I would do is get a pokemon with a move false swipe and when it is at 1 hp.put it to sleep and then you can use a ultra, heavy,fast, or quick ball.(quick ball has a chance of catching at start of a wild encounter pokemon. Hope this helps :)

I would use a ultra ball because I caught entai, raikou, and suicine with them and I like to eat pie. It's so good.

Master ball or the great ball if you hold down b and say gotcha into the mic

I would use mean look on Entei then use all types of balls (make sure you have at least 15 - 30 of each balls, but have a lot of ultra balls). I didn't use master ball on Mewtwo. I actually caught it with a pokeball, Lugia - Ultra ball, Ho-oh - Ultra ball, Suicune - Ultra ball, Zapdos - Pokeball, Articuno - Great ball, Moltres - Dusk ball, Groudon - Pokeball, Entei - Ultra, Raikou - Ultra.

If you want to catch Entei all you have to do is use whirlpool of mean look on him, so he can't go anywhere then either use all the quick balls you got or attack him til his life is hanging by a thread, then use ethier an ultra or master ball, but caution you might want to save the master ball

Id have to say use a quick ball or a fast ball

I caught Raiku And Entei with a Ultra Ball so I think you sould use a Ultra Ball.

Get a level 20 or higher wobbuffet with shadow tag to stop it escaping and ultra ball it to death. The wobbuffet stops it from fleeing while taking a fair amount of damage itself, taking the hits and providing turns for you to throw your ultra balls.

I used a master ball  on entei because I just got fed up of chasing him I have soul silver I caught lugia and ho-oh with ultra balls and neither of them was any trouble (trust me) I'm catching suicune as I type this but I would save your master ball for mew-two or rayquaza if I was you :)

All you people who say use block or mean look your wrong he knows roar and he can just get away just let him escape do that while lowering him and if hes alrady low just use a move that dosent do anything wate about 20 to 40 rounds and than make him sleep and start throwing timer balls

Heavy balls don't work because he's not heavy enough and timer balls suck too because he always leaves on his turn unless you block him from leaving. I'm trying to catch him right now and it's so annoying. -_-'

With a ultra  ball if it got low life if it got full life use a master ball

I used the red gyradoses that you can catch and used whirlpool on him to keep him from getting away the used dragon rage to lower his health down and used a ultra ball

I JUST caught entei right now by using a dusk ball at night and weakening him to the red and paralyzing his ass. It only took me two tries! I would reccomend that.

COME ON! I just typed in a whole answer, then hit back and it all erased.  Okay here it is again... The thing where you say gotcha into the mic is bogus. I tried. So I am p'd off because it all erased and because I have been trying to catch entei for hours and still did not. I would weaken him first to the red zone then status effect him like paralyze,etc. Then I would use a quick ball on the first turn, a dusk ball at night, a master ball if you want to use it if you even have one, or get a pokemon like wobbufet with an ability to trap entei in battle and then use a timer ball after many turns. I would say lower its heath then put it to sleep and use a ton of ultra ballsdon't waste a master ballyou should use  master ball on mewtwo like I did

First poison it. Then use weepingbell or bellsprout of lv 40-45. Use Sleep powder. If you can't get these pokemon then get ghasley from bellsprout tower and use hypnosis. You should have lots of ultra and fast balls. Slowly lower its Hp. Friend ball also may help. To lower hp use a grass type pokemon or steel so it won't get a lot of damage. Finally try a lot of times and catch him

Don't waste ultra balls or master balls, just put it to sleep make it Hp to 1( use false swipe) and use a normal poke ball

Get a Feraligatr lv. 36. Use water gun. If is a critical hit, it will be on 1 hp or it will faint. The next time you meet it use Hypnosis. It will again flee. Keep looking for Entei. Once you find it again use Mean Look. Gastly learns it a lv.8. Now use a quick ball. It should be caught.

Get a haunter/gengar and let it learn mean look and hypnosis. Let some other pokemon take its health down as much as you can and then put haunter/gegar is front of your team (they souls be lvl 45+ because theire speed will be low is not 45+ I think) then use mean look and then use hypnosis and then throw a lot of  balls at it like fast and ultra balls.

Heres a good way to capture Entei, every time you fight him it takes his health down, and sure he will run after everytime you attack him, but if you find him enough times and get his health down far enough, use a pokemon with a blocker move, and also a sleep attack, eventually if planned out correctly, you will capture him.
