In order to get to Blackthorn City in Pokemon Heart Gold you firstly need to fly to Mahogany Town, get onto the east route of the town after you have passed Team Rocket from the Radio Tower. Keep traveling east until you reach Ice Path. Make sure that you have a Pokemon that has HM Strength and Rock Smash, as these moves are needed to get through the Ice Path. Help the Kimono Girls and you will arrive in Blackthorn City.
