A PUK is the acronym for a Personal Unblocking Key, an eight-digit code which is needed to unblock your SIM card if the PIN number is guessed incorrectly more than three times. Once you’ve been told that you need a PUK code, it’s advised that you leave the phone and seek the expertise of a customer service representative from the mobile phone network you’re with. This is because you only get 10 opportunities to guess the PUK code before the SIM card will become unusable on a permanent basis.
A locked SIM is a real inconvenience if you rely on your contacts all the time However, you don’t need to worry about the integrity of your phone, especially as it will work fine once it has been hot-swapped with another SIM card. The only thing you do need to worry about is if the phone has been locked with a certain mobile phone network, as the replacement SIM card you get will need to be from the same provider
This website has listed all of the different customer service hotlines for leading mobile phone networks in the UK: www.filesaveas.com/mobilefaq.html All you need to do is to scroll down to the ‘Customer Service Numbers’ section to receive the necessary information.
Finding a PUK (Personal Unblocking Key) number is not tough job. To find a PUK code all you have to do is call up on the customer care number and ask them to help you with the issue. Before they provide you the PUK code, they will ask you several questions. You need to give them the appropriate information. Customer care of your service provider are the only source from which can give you the PUK code.

Stop asking eachother for the puk's for the lg or blackberry ect, it is your sim that need the code, not your phone, even to prove this take out your sim and turn on your phone, you can then do everything, without putting in a puk code exept phoning and texting people, but once you put in your sim you need a puk code again. The only way is to phone your network provider and ask them, if they can't help then your screwed, basically buy a new simcard! :)
I just bought this phone off of ebay well theres only one problem the puk number I called the person I bought the phone from and hes not to sure what it is I NEED HELP...
If you wish to know your PUK Code, you would need to cal your service provider, but if you are like me and need it ASAP and your service provider isn't open on Sundays then you have to wait it out to find out and it seriously sucks. But if your provider isn't ATT and you can get it at anytime by phone or internet, then I seriously envy you.
PUK Code is related to the SIM card and the service provider. The PUK code has no connection with what phone you have. So "all I need to find the puk code for a black berry 8330" type questions are useless.
