If you r a technical person you can open up your tv and look for a fuse near where the power cord connects to the circuit board. If it is blown then just simply replace it with the correct fuse. It should say on the metal part of the fuse what kind it is. Ex. 4A 125 volts

I have a 32" dvd combo slyvania tv and it wont turn on either. It goes to the green "on light" for a few seconds and then goes back to the red "off" light. I took it to a repair guy today to see what the problem is, but he says that it might be a circuit board and sylvania doesn't sell this particular one separate from the screen, so in order to buy a new board they want you to buy an entirely new LCD therefore making the cost of the part as much as buying a new TV. Do they really think we are going to give them repeat business if they sell faulty equipment and overcharge for parts?

I had the same problem with by Sylvania TV.  I'm now on my third service call to get it fixed.  It's been out of commission for about 7 months now.  Finally I find out today they don't make the part they need any more.  They want to replace it with another of the same model.  Why would I go through that again.  I just want my money back!!  Anyway, if its still in warranty call them right away.  If its not I would buy another TV of a different brand.  Good Luck!!
