What is wrong with my Sharp Aquos LC-60E79U TV? It turned on, then the screen went black and now the power light just flashes green and it won't turn on. The flashing light is continuous, with no short or long pattern. The TV is only about 1 - 1/2 years old.

So your Sharp Aquos TV won't turn on? Here's a step-by-step guide that should help you out a little bit:

  1. Check the power cable for any damage. If possible, replace it for one that you know definitely works.
  2. Change the fuse. This is a very common problem. If it's blown - remember to match the type that was already installed.
  3. Make sure the socket isn't faulty. If it's safe to do so, try out a different appliance to see if it still gets juice.
  4. If none of the above work, you need to see a pro. Luckily, Sharp have a very responsive customer support facility online here:
Good luck getting your TV repaired and please come back and let me know how it goes!
