You can use the following method to clear your ipod Nano of playlists that you do not require:
Ensure that you have the itunes software ready on your computer. Connect your ipod nano to the computer. Search for the ipod icon which will come up somewhere on the left. Click on this icon, many subheadings like songs, podcasts, playlists, etc will appear. Right click on the playlists that you do not want, and choose the clear option. Similarly you can clear your ipod of other unwanted items.
Note that one cannot delete any item directly without connecting to the computer. If you want to keep some songs on the ipod move them into another folder first.
The on the go play list is a default playlist and cannot be deleted. If there are any further clarifications, check the user's manual for help.
