How Do I Get Shiny Pokemon In Heart Gold?

Your pokemon will eventually pick up something called the shiny scale (mine picked one up in goldenrod city) whatever you do, do not sell it even though it can get around $20 000. Put it on your lead pokemon and you have now got, instead of 1 in 1000 chance, you have 1 in 10 chance.

PS only works in HG/SS Johto.

To get shiny pokemon you just need to be very lucky the odds are like 1 in 1000 or even more. However you can use an Action Replay to make every pokemon you encounter shiny. Otherwise you can just make do with the Red Gyarados that you can catch at The Lake of Rage which is the evolved form of a shiny magikarp.
