You cannot find somebody's Facebook password, even if they are logged on. There is an option within Facebook Settings to change your password but it does not reveal the current password.

To change the existing password, the original password must be entered so you cannot change it without previous knowledge of what the password was. If you have forgotten your password, it is possible to reset it by email. An email will be sent to the email address that was originally used to register the account with a new password and a link to reset it. This will only work if you know the login details of the email address that the information will be sent to.

Stealing a person's password is a huge breach of privacy and should never be done. If you are caught, it is more than likely that you will lose the trust of your friend or relative but you could also risk being sued if the person you have hacked decides to take legal action.

Facebook has customizable security options available and recommends strong passwords because a lot of personal information is entered into Facebook that should not be shared. Many people now use Facebook private messages rather than a more formal email account so hacking into a person's Facebook account could reveal many personal details.

If you are considering hacking into a person's Facebook account, ask yourself what it is that you want to find out. If you want to hack their account because you do not trust them and believe they are lying to you about something, perhaps it would simply be better if you were not friends with this person.

You are far better off talking to the person reasonably and asking them about what it is you are trying to find from their Facebook account. You may find that they are perfectly willing to talk about it. Abusing their trust and hacking their account may not prove anything and you may lose a friend.
