It is quite simple to find out if somebody has deleted you from his or her Yahoo! Messenger account.
• The smiley face
This appears next to all names in messenger of people who have connecting accounts. If somebody deletes you the smiley face will disappear completely. You can test this by deleting somebody and then re-inviting them. The smiley face will disappear when they are deleted and will reappear when they accept the new invitation.
• Yahoo! Messenger
This messaging service, provided by Yahoo! Is sometimes known as YIM, and is a free service that is available to download from Yahoo! The service can be used alongside other services that are free to download and register for, including Yahoo! Mail. All Yahoo! Services that are accessed, use a specific password and user name, so once you are logged into one of the services, there is no need to enter the user name and password again to access other services. The service was launched in 1998 and is free as it is advertisement supported. This is a positive and a negative, in that the free service does have annoying adverts all the time when you are using the service.
• Other services provided by Yahoo!
Yahoo! Now provide further services as part of their generic service. Yahoo! Voice provides the ability to make phone calls using a PC or Mac. This service is currently only available in France, the United States and the United Kingdom, although there are plans to roll this out globally shortly. Webcam can also be used in Yahoo! Messenger, in versions 8, 9 and 10.This is available worldwide and the speed is about 1 frame a second.
