There are three quick ways to transfer pictures from a phone to a computer, the easiest being by email. As well as costing nothing it is the most reliable method, though you can only send pictures one by one: Open the picture on your Blackberry by following the path Media-Pictures-My Pictures, then press the menu button and Send as Email. On your computer the email will appear with a file attachment, which is your picture in a jpeg form (.jpg). Open in any picture or paint software. Another option is by using Bluetooth, opening the picture as described above and Send by Bluetooth as per the option in the menu. Do make sure the function is enabled, as the device will prompt you otherwise. When the file has been transferred onto your computer, you may need to right-click on the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar to Receive File, and save it wherever you wish to. As with emailing you can only transfer one photo at a time, so to move many photos at once use a USB data cable, which are very cheap to purchase if not in your possession. Install the Desktop Manager software if not already installed and connect the phone to the PC through the ports, then open the software. Choose the Media Manager option and copy any sort of file, photo or otherwise, by dragging those stored in the Blackberry to the Pictures folder, or to whichever folder on your PC.
When you connect your blackberry up to the computer using a usb cable you should see a message on your phone that asks if you want to turn on mass storage mode? Click yes and you should have a list of picture programs pop up on your computer screen. Click which one you want to use. When it ask you for the location to look for choose the removable media drive which is the "F" drive on most computers. All of your pictures will start transferring to the picture program you chose.
I tried to use the media software that came with my blackberry and could upload the pictures but they would disappear everytime I unplugged the usb cable. I couldn't find a way to save them so I just used the 1st step I mentioned above and chose to use my "microsoft picture it 9" program or dell picture studio. There are probably more photo programs on your computer than you think. I hope this helps. Before I figured this out about 15 minutes ago I wanted to throw my phone and go back to using a camera! Good Luck:)
