My ipod was submerged in a pond for 10 minutes, and I let it sit for 4 days, then put it in a ziploc bag with minute rice for a day, and when I plugged it into the computer, it turned on. I'm still struggling with restoring the software, but its functional. You might try letting it sit and dry for a while, let all the moisture on the inside evaporate. I wouldn't recommend trying to turn it on anymore while it might still be wet, because it could short the circuitry.

Similar story happened to me. I'm 14 and bought my own 2nd generation ipod touch for 213 dollars of my own money. I had a big tummy ache ( haha) so I decided to get in the bath tub and listen to some music.... Bad choice. I dropped the soap which was in one hand, and my ipod in the other. I completely just dunk my hand with the ipod in it in the water, and I immediately started freaking out. I waited a minute to dry off, then told my mom and she looked up to put it in rice. Its been 2 days, but I haven't taken it out yet... I'm afraid to lol. I always wanted an ipod since 4th grade, and now everyone has one. It suckss. But I'm going to try turning it on in a while. Try putting it in rice standing up. So put it in a bag of rice, put that bag in like a cup or something so it can sit up, and wait a couple days. Thats just what I'm doing but I don't know about the effect cause I havent taken mine out yet. Sorry if it doesnt work!
