Configuration of DHCP(dynamic host configuration protocol)follow the following steps
# start
#programes
#administrative tools
#then select DHCP
#right click of your mouse on your domain name for eg, yahoo.com
#then select NEW SCOPE
#then it will give you the message as welcome 2 new scope wizard then press "next"
#NAME THEN SAY "DHCP SCOPE"
#then it will ask you DESCRIPTION  you can give any name in this
then press NEXT THEN GIVE IP ADDRESS
#START IP ADDRESS ( if you want 2 give ip address to  50 systems)then uir start ip address should be for eg, 192.168.0.100.
END IP ADDRESS should be 192.168.0.150, this means you r assigning ip adress to 51 systems.
#ADD EXCLUSION this step is very imp suppose if you want 2 save some ip addressess from those 51 addressess then this step will help you for eg' if you want 2 save the ip address from 192.168.0.101 to 105 then it will again ask you the (start and end ip address you should type as
192.168.0.100 this should be your start ip address,
192.168.0.106 this should be your end ipaddess, this means from 101 to 106 these ip addressess you have saved
#then set DAYS HOURS MNTS for your users then press next
#THIS IS ALSO A VERY IMP STEP (IF you WANT CONFIGURE ROUTER TYHEN you SHOULD SELECTY THIS)
#parent domain for eg "india .com"
# then your server name for eg "sun"
then give your server ip address
next, next
then say
yes I want 2 activate this
then go 2 start, prog, ad tools, services, standard, then restart

Configure Windows 2000/XP for DHCP
For Windows 2000:
Click on the Start button.
Select the Settings option.
Select the Control Panel option.
Double click the Network and Dial Up Connections icon.
Right click on the Local Area Connection icon.
Select Properties from the menu.
Double click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) entry
For Windows XP:
Click on the Start button.
Click on Control Panel.
Click on the Network Connections icon.
Right click on the Local Area Connection icon.
Select Properties from the menu.
Double click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) entry

To configure the Dhcp in your computer you have to first be in a wifi equipped area. Then you start up the internet explorer and go under Tools>Configure Internet Settings. Depending on which computer you use though, it may be in a different part of the computer, but that's where mine is.
