If you cannot detect the gaming adapter when it is linked to the router, it must be because the adapter and router may be in separate IP address ranges, in simple words, they are in two different networks. You can modify the IP address of the gaming adapter in the following way:
Switch off the wireless router, and then allot an inert IP address to the computer. Unplug the adapter and plug it after half a minute. Connect to the wireless linksys network, type the IP address in the explorer and then type 'admin' in both fields.
