I am having the same problem on my GE and I have read several times the front panel buttons on the TV have gone bad. Seems off because this started when someone stepped on the Remote for the DVR box. But I can tell you also, the power button on the front of the TV does not work nore does the Menu button and the other buttons are all messed up. So maybe a wild coincidence.
