The green light pertaining to the PSP's battery should be orange
instead of green if it is charging. The only time there should be no
light in there is when your PSP has finished charging or when it is
turned off (obviously).
If you think it is the LCD (that green/orange light-thingy) that is not
working, then turn on your PSP and check the battery information. You
should see how long your battery will hold out, then just keep checking
back on it to see if it is charging.
If that doesn't work and you are unable to charge you PSP, then the
problem may lie on the battery itself, maybe it is already too old for
usage.
