Firstly head to yahoo.com and click on the ‘Mail’ tab on the top left-hand of the page. Click on the 'Sign Up' link that appears next to the ‘Sign In’ section. Enter your name and all other details requested. Next you will be asked to create a username and password. Be sure to take a moment to think of a suitable username you will remember and that will represent you well. You can use both letters and numbers for usernames and passwords.
Type the username you have chosen in the correct box. You will be asked to check the availability of the username as if someone has already taken it you will be asked to think of a different one or they will suggest similar names. Then type in the password you have decided on; making sure it is at least 6 characters long. You will then be asked to select a question from the following drop-down menu as your security question. Yahoo will ask you this question if you should forget your password in the future, in order to verify that you are the correct user.
Type in your answer to the question in the field below. Enter your birth date, zip code or postcode and any other requested information in the fields provided. Entering an alternate email address is not required but it's good to give Yahoo personnel a place where you can be reached if for any reason you do not have access to your Yahoo account.

Read the Terms of Service thoroughly and print a copy for your records. Finally select 'I Agree.' You have now completed the set up of your Yahoo email account.
