Code Search
You may find that the manufacturer of the device you want to add to the remote is not listed in the instruction manual or you do not have access to the manual to find the codes. The Jumbo Universal Remote has an automatic code search that will scroll through each of the codes until it finds the correct code for your device.
To use the code search, turn on the device you want to set. Point the remote at the device and hold the "Code Search" button until the LED is solid red. Press the corresponding button for the device you wish to set, such as "TV" or "DVD." With the remote pointed at the device, repeatedly press the "On/Off" button. Continue to do this until the device powers off. When it shuts off, press the "Enter" button to set the remote control. Use the "On/Off" button and see if the device turns on again. If it does, the setting is complete. If it does not, attempt the code search again and be sure to press the "Enter" button quickly when the device turns off.

The buttons have the same labels, making the transition to a different remote control easy. The remote control does require you to press the button of the device you want to control prior to trying to control that device. For example, if you want to operate your DVD player, press the "DVD" button before using any of the other buttons.
