In order to plant crops under trees on Farm, you simply, plough your designated area first and then plant crops in the ploughed area.  After the crops have grown and you have harvested them, move the trees onto the farmed plots. This must be done before you re-plough the same area. After then trees have been put in place, you can now start the process over again by ploughing the same area, under the trees, and planting a new set of crops to eventually harvest.

Alternatively, you can plant the trees on the green and reboot your account with the trees’ activity switched off. If you are experiencing any problems laying the foundations of plots where trees have already been planted, and furthermore have very few or not plots on your farm, create a plot where there is space, free from any trees of crops.  After you have done this, delete that planted area. This handy hint will allow you to continue to create and plant plots where you have already grown trees on your farm.  On the other hand, if you already have established plots or ploughed areas on your Farm Town farm, even where you may have trees that have already been planted and grown, delete one of the ploughed areas. Once this is done, you now will be able to replace the existing plot and plant crops under your trees.

Another method you could use is to turn off all buildings, trees, and flowers. This is done by going to the settings menu and switching the activity of these items to ‘off’. After this is done, refresh the page. Once the page has been refreshed, zoom in and out, and then click on the plough icon. This method should also allow you to plant your crops under your established trees.

The only way I've found was to turn off the trees , buildings, and flowers in the settings menu, then refresh the page, zoom in or out (when one worked one time the other worked the other time) then click plow and it has done it once or twice for me but NOW I can't GET IT TO WORK!!!  Bummer!!! I hope that is one glitch the have not fixed yet!!!

You can also do as  noted above .. Plant the trees on green, reboot with trees off. If you are having trouble laying plots where trees are and have absolutely no plots on your farm, plant one where there is no trees or anything else, then delete it. It should allow you to then continue adding plots where the trees now are.   If you had plots on your farm, even where trees are, delete just one of them. You should then be able to just replace it. I don't know why it worked for me, but deleting a plot worked better than planting did where it was noted above a plant instead.

Plant trees in a green area.
Next turn off trees.
Reboot Farmtown and go the the green spot where you planted the trees.
Next plow over the tree area.
Next plant seeds.
When you want to harvest make sure trees are turned off before trying to harvest or else you will need to turn them off and reboot Farmtown again to enable you to harvest your crops.

The only way I can do it is Turn off trees, refresh, then plant a crop on a plowed field elsewhere in my farm, then pick up my plow tool and it is all set.

Plow and plant area first. After harvest (before you plow again) move the trees onto the farm plots. After trees r in place, plow and plant.

OK!!  Definitely you have to "plant" something first before you can "plant" plots. (After you have hidden everything of course)  Make sure you put your trees all in before you Plant Plots....
