There's also rumours that you can also get karma points on Howrse , if you plant a 'Pass Seed', in your Equestrian Centre. Pass Seeds take 30 days to grow, and after 30 days, will give you one Pass.
Not sure if this is true or not, but hey - it's worth trying!

One way to get karma on howrse is if you are registered on howrse for 30 days. There are also rumors that if you have enough equus, you can buy karma points. I'm looking for karma too. I have -1 karma now because I didn't have enough equus to deliver my horse.
