Formatting a jump drive is the same as formatting the old floppy disk. Put the jump drive in the USB port and open MY COMPUTER. REMEMBER: Any information in the jump drive will be erased once formatting is complete so BE SURE that whatever is in the jump drive is not important to you. If you simply don't care about the info then RIGHT CLICK on the drive's letter (usually D or E) and in the drop down menu choose FORMAT... Click on START and in a few seconds the drive will be formatted. Otherwise MOVE all information in the drive to a file on your C: Drive by higllighting all information on the jump drive and RIGHT CLICK and DRAG to the C:drive. Once the MOVE operation is complete, the jump drive will be clear of all files and folders with the information safely stored on the hard drive.
