I Have An Hp Pavilion Tx 1000 Laptop. The Wireless Button Is Illuminated Orange And It Should Be Blue. The Wireless Is Not Being Acknowledged In The Computer At All. Do I Need To Install It Again? And How Will I Do So?

This is apparently a BIG problem with this model laptop. If yours is still under warranty you can get the motherboard replaced, but the problem might well come back again. The cheapest temporary fix is to buy a USB wireless adapter.

I just have the same problem and the switch is not working at all. I also tried to restore to a previous date configuration but it just does not work. This is about the 6th time this crashes, I am bored of keeping sending it to HP to be repaired and it fails again and again.

Does any body knows what to do with this?

Hey Guys .. I also saw the same problem with my pavillion tx-t000 last week .. Updated BIOS, drivers and everything .. Then tried to contact HP service center .. The only thing that guy told me was to buy a new one from them and they would me give me high discounts .. But they really din't hv any solution to this problem .. Anyway ... This is how it worked out for me ... Check that windows update is enabled on your machine ... Check for the available updates ... In the list you should see an optional update for Nvidia Network Controller .. Install that. Then reintall the broadcom and HP wireless driver available on HP.com .. Restart ... And BINGO!!! Your system is wireless again (atleast it worked for me) and hope it works for you too ...
