Yes there are many apps/tools through which you can track any mobile phone. The best tool is Mobile Spy. With the help of Mobile Spy you can track A to Z things of your mobile phone.

Want a program to spy on phone numbers and text messages? I found some online that might be worth looking at.

1. SMS Spy

SMS Spy works by retrieving the first 50 incoming and the first 50 outgoing text messages. It seems that all you have to do is choose the country the mobile number is registered to, provide the number and then enter your email address.

However, be warned: if they want your email address, it means that they are able to send you spam emails, and possibly sell your details on to another company. Your inbox could end up very full!

2. Mobile Spy

Mobile Spy seems to be able to do a lot more than just spy on text messages. With this program you can track the user's GPS locations, monitor Facebook and Twitter messages, and even view photos and videos taken on the phone.

However, this comes at a hefty price, at $49.97 for 3 months. It's also worth mentioning that these companies might not be trustworthy.

3. SpyToMobile

You could try SpyToMobile, where you can do almost the same things as on Mobile Spy. You can spy on text messages and much more, with it all being sent to your online account which you make with them. Again, this comes with risks, such as spam emails and fraud.

NEVER ENTER YOUR BANK DETAILS if the website does not have a secure connection (https:// at the front of the web address).

Don't want to take the risk?

If you're not sure about using a program to spy on a phone number or text messages, why not try talking to the person whose text messages you're trying to spy on? If you emphasise your concerns, they might tell you what's going on, or even show you the text messages.

If you still want to go ahead and look for a program to spy on phone numbers or text messages, you might want to look at this video here:

There are a number of websites that now claim to offer software that will spy on someone's phone activity.  More worryingly, however, is that many of these websites appear very suspicious.  I've taken a look at one of these services below to explain why in greater detail.

SMS-Peeper

SMS-Peeper is a website that claims to allow users to target a specific phone in order to browse through its text messages.  SMS-Peeper makes a further claim that no software is needed to perform this breach of privacy.

So, what are the issues?

  1. The first thing to notice is that the entire website's text is in very broken English.  Now, this may not indicate anything suspicious, but I would expect a successful business to employ an English speaking individual to sell their company online.
  2. You have to provide details such as your email address and name without really being told why.  I can only assume that this is to spam you with junk mail.
  3. No secure connection.  SMS-Peeper does not contain the standard https:// format.
  4. The terms and conditions state that the messages should only be considered as entertainment, and are not actually real messages.  And this is where the problem lies.  The website does not state anywhere other than within tiny terms and conditions (on a separate page) that the messages received are simply made up.

Ultimately, I doubt that there's a legitimate service that offers the user the ability to spy on someone's phone.  This is likely to be illegal in most countries for a start.  I would also hope that modern technology is a little too complicated for someone to hack by simply entering a phone number into a website.
