In the US, generally you dial *67 before dialing the rest of the phone number. DO NOT DIAL # before the number 67, because this identifies the originating number rather than blocks it.

Most devices will allow you to block your number from the menu's on the phone as well.
I believe you dial *67 then whatever number. *69 I believe returns a call.
