Why can't children get cellphones?

This mostly depends on the child's parents. They usually don't get cellphones at a young age because they're afraid that they'll lose it, have it stolen, or call unknown people. By that, I mean they could trade cellphone numbers with a completely random stranger online, which could possibly be a child predator.

That's one thing. Another thing is that in our current society, children are becoming more and more addicted to technology rather than spending time with their parents and/or go outside more. This leads to fights and arguments in their homes. Frankly, a cellphone should only be given to a child when their parents think that they are mature enough to handle having one.

Is cell phone radiation an issue?

And will they drop or lose it easily?

Any unwanted exposure to adult materials or violence?

Otherwise, probably why not. :)

Children can use cellphones, It just matters on the parents' decision. If the parent doesn't wan't the child to use a cellphone until they're a bit older than its their decision. Its not like a child in the whole history of mankind has NEVER had a cellphone. I have seen many children (ranging to 9 to 12 years of age) walking down the street with cellphones. So umm yeah..Hope this helps?
