If Instagram is draining your battery, you're not alone. A lot of people are posting how the most recent update of Instagram is a bit of a bttery killer.
Luckily, by reading through some of the iOS and Android developer blogs and websites, I have discovered a few things that can help save your battery a whole lot!
Three things that will STOP Instagram draining your battery
- Closing the app (by double clicking the home button and then swiping up to close it from running in the background)
- Turn of location permission from the settings panel
- Turn off 'background app refresh' (this basically updates apps every time there is a new version to install, so it could be doing this all day if developers release new versions of apps very frequently).
